Rick Owens may not necessarily be my favourite designer, but he is definitely my favourite person who is a designer. Am i making sense? Don't get me wrong, I'd do almost anything to be the proud owner of this vest:

But in the mean time, I'm more than happy to watch clips of Rick Owens on youtube. He's so lovable. Before knowing much about Rick, I assumed that he may be a rather austere and perhaps even pretentious avant garde character. But I guess that's a lesson for me to never assume anything, and don't judge a book, etc etc.
The moment I knew I truly loved Rick Owens was when an interviewer asked: "The title of the show is strutter, what does that mean?"
To which Rick replies: "Strutter is one of my favourite KISS songs...Paul Stanley kinda screeches strutter all through the song and once you her him like singing strutter it's kinda like always in your head".
That made me smile.
